I had the AOL 2.0 for Mac in the early 90s. I paid for my surfing time on the world-wide-web by the minute. I am an early adopter of technology. I blog, I own a web page, I twitter but I do not have a facebook page. I get more grief over not being on facebook than any other decision I have made. I am finally telling the world why.

Building Moats

Building moats. Just like young boys who dream up man-eating monsters to place as barriers to others, we create silos of protection. Moats usually come after achievement. If your leadership spends more time protecting your position from others, remember that protection equals isolation. Isolation removes influence.

Ultimate Survivor Cast?

That caused each member of our family to propose who would be fun to watch on the show. I sat down and determined to put together the ultimate cast of characters for Survivor. Thinking about the fact that they start with sixteen people, eight guys and eight women, I stayed true to their numbers. I thought about some of the same drama and potential sources of conflict that they strive for each season. Some that are chosen are physically strong, others are mentally strong, and some will just be fun to watch them co-exist on some island. Here is my list.
